Ronald Anthony
October 03, 1957 - Present
Dedication…longevity…professionalism…mentorship…service. These and many other terms have been used to describe Ron Anthony…no wonder, as he has spent over 45 years as a registered official in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and Utah! During this time, he has been on the whistle for three generations of wrestlers from multiple families! Ron also coached wrestling and other sports at the middle school and high school levels in western Idaho and eastern Oregon for 17 years, including multiple conference and district championship teams and one state championship. Ron’s sense of service extended beyond wrestling as well, where he has been an active leader and member of multiple civic organizations including the Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, Eagles, as well as educational organizations and chambers of commerce in the many towns and cities where he has taught and lived throughout his impressive career as an educator and administrator. His leadership and service have been recognized through multiple awards and recognitions, including Educator, Principal, and Official of the Year awards, and special recognition from civic and military organizations.
“Ron taught me to be very humble as an official. I have witnessed him officiate first-year wrestlers and high level, state championship finals matches. He treats all wrestlers the same, regardless of level, always going above and beyond to ensure all wrestlers have an opportunity for success.” - Clint Milliron
