30 years as Chairman for Middle Atlantic AAU Category 1 F.I.L.A. Official In 1972 Mike started a short career in teaching and coaching at Cumberland Valley and Newport High Schools. It was his involvement with the AAU as an official that led Mike on his forty plus years with AAU. Mike's service to wrestling is an endless resume of chairmanships. From 1972-85, Mike became known nationally for his running large, top quality wrestling events. In 1993 he was national tournament director for the Grand National AAU Wrestling Championships held at Hershey Park Arena. As an AAU Official, Mike worked several Olympic Trials and was the official for the 125.5 berth of the Olympic team between Rick Sanders and Don Behm. Mike lives in Newport and is married to Doris and has 1 daughter.
