B. B. Branton
When Luther Killian was looking for leaders to re-establish the Wrestling Hall of Fame Board one of the first places he stopped was B. B. Branton. After the inaugural class was selected in 1994, the organization lay dormant until 2005, B. B. accepted a Board position and quickly went to work compiling lists and bios of potential inductees. B. B. was writing and promoting wrestling during a time when not many were talking about it. B. B. was part of the steering committee for the World Cup in Chattanooga. B. B. covered wrestling from local high school matches to the World Cup and 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. B. B. is one the preeminent wrestling historians for Chattanooga and across the state.
B. B. started wrestling at the legendary McCallie Prep School in Chattanooga. That's where his passion for the sport was born. B. B. served on the Wrestling Hall of Fame Board until 2012. So many current inductees owe part of their inclusion to B. B
