Kaylee Anderson
Kaylee Anderson received the Clarke County High School Most Outstanding Wrestler award in 2022.
As a freshman she became the first girl ever from Clarke County to qualify for the 2A state wrestling tournament, finishing third in her region at 126 pounds.
By her senior year, Kaylee was wrestling at 160 pounds to fill a gap in the lineup for the Eagles, though she seldom weighed more than 150 pounds.
She completed her high school career as the first girl, not only to compete four years but to be a starter all four years for the boys wrestling team, finishing 44-58 against male competition.
Kaylee was dominant against girls, winning the Leading Ladies Tournament as a sophomore, the Virginia Wrestling Association folkstyle state tournament as a junior, and the Virginia High School League girls state tournament as a senior. She was also named Outstanding Wrestler at the VHSL tournament. Kayle also finished runner-up at each of the three tournaments during her career.
She was awarded the 2022 Female Student-Athlete of the Year by the Virginia Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
