· 1982 Southern Conference champion as a freshman at the Citadel (134 lbs.)
· NCAA tournament qualifier/participant -1982
· Serious knee injury at the beginning of his sophomore season ended his promising wrestling career - after injury he served the team as a student-coach
· M.S. degree Troy University - Education Leadership and Administration (1991)
· Juris Doctorate - University of Kentucky College of Law - (1998); member of Kentucky Bar (1998 - present; UK College of Law Visiting Committee
· Major (Ret.) United States Army - enlisted 1981-85, commissioned 1985, active duty 1985-95, reserves 1995-2002
· 15 years as an assistant wrestling coach including 2 seasons at the Citadel, Churchill HS (San Antonio, TX), River Ridge and Wheeler HS; also served numerous seasons as assistant football coach at Wheeler HS and Cherokee HS. Currently serving as assistant soccer coach at Life University
· 1988-2008 - Owner/Operator of Eagle Group International, a $175 million government contracting firm with 1,700 employees in 35 states/7 foreign countries
· 2008-2011 - Owner of the Atlanta Beat women’s professional soccer team, chairman of the board of the Women’s Professional Soccer League, played a lead role in the funding and construction of Kennesaw State University’s Fifth Third Bank Stadium
· 2012 - 2014 - Candidate Georgia State School Superintendent
· 2015 - 2018 - Served as Executive Director - Cumberland Community Church
· 2018 - Founder/CEO - ASID Group International LLC Consulting Firm
