Dave Severn
Dave is not a native to Arizona. Coming from Michigan to wrestle for Arizona State / Bobby Douglas in 1975, he has become a prominent Arizona Wrestling figure. Winning two WAC Titles, a Pac-10 championship, and earning NCAA All American status twice were great accomplishments, but his work to help build the sport of wrestling and develop youth was a lifetime endeavor. Dave Coached at all levels, including Central HS, Phoenix College, both Deer Valley Middle and High School, and Mesa Community College. His Prep teams produced many State Champs, State Placers, and nationally ranked wrestlers. Phoenix College and Mesa Community saw 4 NJCAA Region Titles and 30 NJCAA All Americans along with a couple of Individual National Champions. He coached 91 Academic all Americans. Dave is a pioneer and Founder of the Female Arizona State Wrestling Championships. He assisted running the Sunkist Open and is an active recruiter for ASU.
