Chris Poff

The late Chris Poff since the first day he saw his first wrestling match until the day he passed away was Pennsylvania Wrestling's "man for all seasons." Chris started his coaching in 1953 when he coached the elementary program in Newtown. In 1955 he was named coach at Pennsbury High School until 1959 when he became coach at Neshaminy High School. Chris found time to officiate but he also was a key part of wrestling history as he helped organize and served as president of the Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches Association for seven years. His leadership roles were many and included president of the USWF and chairman of the Culture Exchange program for the USWF. After his days of wrestling, coaching and leadership ended, Chris became a renowned photographer, applying his trade for the Keystone Games, Wrestling USA Magazine and the National Mat News.
