Jack Childs recently finished his 30th season as the head coach of the Drexel University wrestling program. Jack has amassed an impressive record of 368-215-8 at Drexel placing him second all-time among active Division I coaches, behind coaching legend Bobby Douglas of Iowa State. Jack is the active leader in all-time wins at all levels of NCAA competition with 457 victories combined during his tenure at Stevens Trade School and Drexel. Since joining the CAA four years ago, the team has continued its success and Jack was named the CAA's Co-Coach of the Year in 2002. Jack continues to recruit and develop some of the premier wrestling talent in the Northeast. Prior to coaching at Drexel, he guided Stevens Trade School to a six-year record of 89-17. Even after 38 years coaching grapplers, Jack continues to be an innovator for Drexel University and the sport of wrestling. He was instrumental in organizing the merger of the ECWA and the Colonial Athletic Association in conjunction with Drexel's move to the CAA four years ago.
