Jeff Voss
Jeff Voss wrestled at Clarksville High School under Hall of Fame coach Ron Peterson, qualifying for the State tournament at 155 lbs in 1985. He went on to wrestle at Wartburg College where he was a two-time Division III qualifier and a one-time All American for them. Jeff then began his coaching career in 1989 as an assistant for one year at Nashua- Plainfield and then four years as an assistant at West Delaware from 1990-1994. Jeff then went to Monticello in 1995 as the head coach for one year, before returning to West Delaware in 1996 for the next 29 years.
Jeff has served in several leadership positions in IWCOA as President, VP, Sec./Treasurer for two terms and been on the Advisory Board, as well as Board of Directors for the NWCA and a NWCA Iowa Scholastic Representative.
Jeff has a stellar coaching career as well. He was selected as IWCOA Coach of the Year in 3A-2007 and in 2A- 2013 and 2019. Jeff was a national finalist coach with NWCA in 2013, and NHSACA in 2022. Jeff was selected as the Bob SIdeens Coach of the Year in 2013.
His career coaching record is 507-137-1. He has had 13 State Dual meet appearances and his teams were Champions in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, as well as runner-up in 2003,2012,2013,and 2023. Jeff's teams have won the Traditional State Tournament three times in 2013, 2019, and 2021. Jeff has coached 167 State Qualifiers, 12 State Champions, and 83 WaMac Conference Champions. His teams have won 21 WaMac Conference Dual Meet Titles and 16 WaMac conference Team Titles.
Jeff has taught Science, Health and Physical Education for 34 years. Jeff and his wife Janette have four children- Jennie, Jake, JoAnne, and Jared.
