"¢ Rookie "Coach of the Year" - University of Pittsburgh "¢ Initiated the Boiling Springs Wrestling Holiday Tournament "¢ Chief of Operations for table workers at the NCAA Championships Dave Adams started his coaching career at Boiling Springs High School where he initiated the Boiling Springs Christmas Tournament. Coach Adams became an assistant coach at Penn State and coach for the plebe team at the Naval Academy. In 1968, he was named coach for the University of Pittsburgh and the same year was named NCAA Rookie Coach of the Year. Over the years, he has served as the Secretary-Editor of the NCAA wrestling rules committee, President of the EIWA Coaches Association and played a leading role in establishing the Eastern Wrestling League. Since 1975, Dave has served as Chief of Operations for the head table at Division 1 NCAA Wrestling Championships.
