Mike Randles

Mike Randles inspired many young athletes throughout his 18 years as head wrestling coach at Sandpoint High School.

His unwavering love of the sport was inspirational to his athletes.

Among the many lessons he taught his wrestlers was to give back to their wrestling family and the community.

Mike exemplified this in many ways, but one that affected the entire wrestling North Idaho community was his more than a decade tenure as president of the North Idaho Wrestling League. During that time, through his leadership, he was instrumental in encouraging young wrestling families to continue in the sport by reducing the expense of membership and giving them back their weekends, This was due to the move to matside pairing and satellite weigh-ins. These moves along with the organizational embracement of Trackwrestling have helped to reduce the time commitment and enhance the experience for both wrestling families and coaches.

Mike's motto is "Kids first!"

Mike guided his teams to three state championships with 25 state champions and 95 state-placers while also having two nationally ranked teams.

He was instrumental in developing numerous championship-caliber teams and wrestlers, including several future Division I athletes.
