Mike Crowder

Mike Crowder is a 1991 graduate of Lely High School in Naples Florida.

Even before he graduated from Florida State University he began his tenure as the head wrestling coach at Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida in 1995.

At Lincoln, Coach Crowder has established his program as a dominant force, compiling a 305-74 record, with one state champion, six state finalists and 29 state place-winners. His teams have won six regional championships while finishing runner-up seven times. He has led his teams to 17 district championships and four runner-up finishes while capturing 21 city championships.

Crowder takes great pride in his relationships with former wrestlers and parents. Countless former wrestlers have become assistant and head coaches, continuing to pass along the sport they love to younger generations.

For Coach Crowder it has always been less about winning and more about building men who can succeed in life after they leave the mat.

Crowder has spent countless years working diligently as a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association's wrestling advisory council. During his tenure he has helped many proposals get approval that have made a major impact on improving the sport.

The shining example is the implementation of the FHSAA State Dual Meet Tournament, which his team qualified for in the inaugural year.

Mike has been recognized many times by his peers for his accomplishments, on and off the mat.

He has been named North West Florida Coach of the Year four times and All Big Bend Coach of the Year 10 times.

Crowder has been named District 3 Coach of the Year by the Florida Athletic Coaches Association five times and was inducted into the FACA Hall of Fame in 2018.

Mike is not only committed to the sport he loves, but also to his family.

He and his wife, Kari, have two sons, Michael and Mason.
