Atlanta native; Graduate of Briarcliff High School (1968) Georgia High School Association (GHSA) state champion (1968) Graduate of Georgia Tech (1972) - B.S Industrial Engineering; M.S. in Operations Research from the University of Florida (1973) 4-year starter at Georgia Tech for NWHOF Distinguished Member Lowell Lange 2X Southeastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (SEIWA) champion NCAA national tournament qualifier (150 lbs.)- 1972 Inducted into the Georgia Tech Athletic Hall of Fame (1986) 30 years of coaching service - college, high school and kids levels -3 years as assistant coach at Georgia Tech and Univ. of Florida -4 years as a high school head coach (2 at Dearborn Heights HS, Crestwood MI, 2 at Campbell HS in Smyrna, GA) 21 years coaching Team Georgia youth/middle school programs - 18 for Walton Takedown Club in Cobb County; 3 years for Morris Fitness. Teams have captured overall Team Georgia Kids state championships at Walton and Morris Fitness and multiple Novice and Schoolboy state championships; Coached 40 Team Georgia Kids state champions and more than 100 place winners; these wrestlers went on to earn 18 GHSA state championships and 43 additional GHSA place winners Currently serves as assistant varsity coach at the Lovett School USA Wrestling Silver Level Coach - coached 2005 Team Georgia Schoolboy Duals team 40 plus year career as a technology/strategic marketing executive; retired Senior Vice-President of the William Mills Agency Resides in north Atlanta with his wife, Karen; has two adult sons, Michael and Andrew
