Since 1990 Allen has seen head coaching positions at Hallendale, South Broward and Cypress Bay High Schools. While at Hallendale and South Broward he had dual duties as head football coach and head wrestling coach. Throughout his career Allen has amassed over 450 wins versus 107 dual defeats. He has produced 93 FHSAA qualifiers that included 41 place winners and 6 individual champions. One of those champions was his son A.J.
