Denys Overholser

Denys Overholser wrestled at Dallas High School and Oregon State University where he graduated in 1962 with degrees in electrical engineering and mathematics. He went on to earn graduate degrees in systems engineering and operations research. Much of his professional career remains classified, but during his time at Lockheed's Skunk Works his expertise in radomes and antennas lead to development of the world's first stealth fighter, the F-117. Denys is the first Stealth Technologist to receive the prestigious "Combat Survivability Award for Technical Achievement" from the National Defense Industrial Association. He is the patent author of the F-117 Fighter Bomber (1977) and Radar Advanced Measurement Systems (1985) and is course author and teacher of "PLAIN TALK ABOUT RCS", Radar Cross Section, (1985). Currently he is Consulting Engineer for the Department of Defense through MIT Lincoln Laboratories.
