After 40 years of commitment to the sport of wrestling, Steve becomes the second official to be honored by Arizona Chapter, NWHOF. Steve began his affair with wrestling as a competitor in the state of Illinois. In 1974, Steve began his tenure of officiating in Illinois. He moved to Arizona in 1984 and began officiating for the AIA. Steve was selected to officiate the State Tourney the very next year. He officiated the state meet for 20 years and was voted "Outstanding Official" in 1999. Steve has officiated HS, Jr. College, and NCAA levels. Since 2006, Steve has been active in evaluating officials and helping set up and run various HS tournaments. He has been helping set up the State tournament from 2006-2015. Steve has been President of AS Wrestling Referee Assoc. and was instrumental in the development of evaluation clinics for inexperienced referees.
