Scott Hill

October 03, 1960 - Present

One of the greatest forms of respect of a man is when others try to follow their example. Eagle High head coach Michael Stone recalls Coach Hill as such a positive mentor on him as a young, impressionable teen that he tries to emulate him as a coach and a man. Scott, an Idaho high school state champion at Bonneville HS and Big Sky Runner-up for Boise State University has been involved in Idaho wrestling since the mid 70's as a wrestler, coach, and administrator. Scott began his coaching tenure while student teaching at Capital HS then on to assist Kevin Wood at the new Centennial HS, Scott always said how blessed he was to be around good people such as Kevin and great kids within the sport. While Scott has received most every award a coach could garner, including being named Idaho Wrestling Coach of the Year in 1995, he continually deflects attention to his teams and his wrestlers. "My responsibility, moral obligation is to help my wrestlers become successful when they leave the wrestling room, winning while there will take care of itself". After moving to administration Scott continued to be involved in wrestling by coaching club teams, Patriot Wrestling, Kuna Club, Bullcatcher Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Wrestling kept Scott busy nights and weekends. Additionally he began running state and local wrestling tournaments in 1996 where he has been a pioneer for developing tournaments and events such as the State MS Championships, The Idaho Hall of Fame Classic, first ever girl's specific tournaments as well as District and State Championships. Scott has always been one to push to the next level. Trackwrestling became to him a way to connect our wrestling community to each and every tournament in the state. He became an invaluable resource for coaches and directors all across the state of Idaho. He had the privilege of being the first to run regional, local and State Championships live. He was the first in Idaho to livestream the Idaho State Wrestling tournament mat side. His goal was and is to increase the footprint of Idaho wrestling. "My most humbling accomplishments in wrestling come from what I now do with Fellowship of Christian Athletes Wrestling. I once thought I wrestled to win championships. God has shown me over my lifetime that He blessed me with a talent not for winning but for serving". "With the continued support of my wife Vicky and sons Logan and Jake I plan on serving the wrestling community for years to come".
