Tommy Badon

Tommy Badon was recruited by legendary coach Gray Simons to wrestle at the University of Tennessee. The program folded after his freshman year. Tommy turned his competitive disappointment into coaching fire. With influences from Hall of Famers like Gray Simons, Jeff Jordan, Pat Welsh and of course George Badon, Tommy was a success everywhere he went. He started at Franklin HS in 1992, went to Dickson for 15 years in 1998 and has been the Clarksville head coach for the last 11 years. He is a three-time Middle TN Coach of the Year and coached 13 state champions including the 2023 OW. He had 28 other state placers. He was a board member and past President of the Future Champions. He is joining his father, George Badon, as the first father/son Hall of Fame members (Mike and Doug Newman are also joining this category).
