Wade Palmer
February 13, 1972 - Present
Wade Palmer was instrumental in building one of the most consistently dominant wrestling programs in Idaho history. In the three decades of his involvement, Wade marshalled the Kuna Middle School wrestling program to amazing heights, including 27 Middle School Conference championship and an unprecedented 409-5 dual record over that period. He also helmed the Kuna High School program for seven years, compiling a 136-16 dual record and a state championship team performance. These accomplishments alone warrant the high praise and recognition he received among his peers, twice as District Coach of the Year, and ultimately as Idaho 4A Coach of the Year in 2004. Wade’s impact extends beyond the mat though. Through personal drive and a proven approach to planning and preparing for success, he has achieved success in wrestling and in the classroom, where his impact also resulted in recognition as Teacher of the Year in 2013. He has demonstrated a unique ability to motivate individuals to reach their potential, building strong and lasting relationships based on trust and respect. Leaning in on difficult assignments, Wade has thrived in the most challenging environments where he has developed logistically sound programs/curriculum in adverse conditions with at-risk kids and dedicated tireless energy and focus to every program he has been involved in as an educator, coach, and leader.
