David DiDomenico

David DiDomenico high excitement and intensity brought multiple individual, state title and Top 10 teams. His teams have won tournaments in Auckland, Honolulu, Vancouver, and Berlin. He led the Arizona Native American teams to National Championship and National runner-up finishes. His wrestlers were State Champions, Arizona Wrestlers of the Year, NFHCA, Asics, and National Dairy Association All-Americans, NFHCAS National Champions, and numerous Academic All-State and All-Americans. DiDomenico earned Coach of the Year Honors from Mesa Public Schools, Arizona Coaches Association, East Valley Tribune, District VIII, and was a 2008 NWCA National Finalist. He was named 2022 All-Sports, All-Divisions AIA Coach of the Year.  He was a 2X US Marines Arizona Distinguished Educator recipient. AZ/Beat the Streets named a scholarship “DiDomenico Service before Self.” Doc Wright Varsity Invitational created the DiDomenico Intensity Award in his honor.  He served multiple years as Varsity Divisional Tournament Director, AZ/USA and AZ Coaches Association Elected Board Officer, and AIA Sectional Representative. DiDomenico founded four AIA Tournaments, including the 1st Ever AIA Sanctioned Women’s HS Varsity Invitational.
