Ron Minoletti
Ron started out wrestling in high school at Warren Woods High School where he finished third in the state in 1973. He also wrestled one year at Northern Michigan University where he was the teams most valuable wrestler in 1974.
Ron became a registered MHSAA Wrestling Official in 1974 and retired in 2022 after 48 years on the mats. He also has been very instrumental in the establishment of the All-American Athletic Association (AAAA) in 1991 with Ron Nagy and has grown to one of the largest wrestling organizations in the state. Ron was Vice-President for over 30 years and spent considerable time recruiting new Officials for the sport of wrestling. His dedication to this sport and his desire to expand their skills and abilities with these new officials was demonstrated by the numerous MHSAA training events he participated in. Many of these individuals have maintained their association with the Sport of Wrestling, as an Official, due to Ron’s personal involvement and devotion. The results of his efforts, through his dedication, has made Ron on the most respected Officials in the MHSAA.
In addition, Ron is a member of the AAU Wrestling Hall of Fame, USSSA Softball Hall of Fame, and the Macomb County Coaches Hall of Fame. He also officiated in 24 AAU Scholastic duals at Disney, 9 AAU Folkstyle World Tournaments, and numerous other tournaments throughout the country.
With his longevity in the sport of wrestling, his officiating history, Ron has developed and retained long-lasting personal relationships with so many other Officials, Coaches, and the Wrestling Community’s throughout the country.
