Jamill Kelly

Jamill Kelly, a two-time NCAA qualifier for Oklahoma State, won a silver medal in the 2004 Olympics.

The four-time U.S. National Team member was also a two-time World Team member.

He won silver medals in the Pan-Am Games in 2001 and 2003.

Kelly was an assistant coach at the University of North Carolina from 2020 to 2023. In 2023, Kelly helped North Carolina secure its seventh individual national champion, as Austin O'Connor won the second NCAA title of his career.

Kelly, originally from Atwater, Calif., has coached at Arizona State, Cal Poly, Harvard, North Carolina State and Stanford as an assistant coach. While at Cal Poly, four Mustang wrestlers qualified for the NCAA championships with two garnering All-America honors. At Arizona State, Kelly helped coach nine All-America wrestlers, including national champion Zahid Valencia.

Kelly traveled to the 2012 Olympics in London as part of the support staff for USA Wrestling. He also coached the U.S. Junior World Freestyle Team in 2007 and on the U.S. Freestyle Tour Team in 2006.

He served as the USA Cadet World Team Coach from 2013-15 and a coach for the USA Junior World Team in 2016.

Jamill is the son of Edward Kelly (Stewart) and Ruby Fagan. He and his wife Lisa are the parents of Athen and Ren Kelly.
