Bob Roethler
Bob Roethler, who died in 2015, led Emmetsburg High School in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to four traditional state team wrestling championships during nine seasons as head coach from 1972-80. Emmetsburg won four consecutive state team titles from 1976-79 and had a streak of 63 consecutive dual meet victories from 1974-78. Roethler coached 35 individual state place winners with 10 state champions, including four-time winner Jeff Kerber. Roethler wrestled for Central High School in Elkader, Iowa, and for Loras College.
