Hall of Fame Announces Staff Changes
The National Wrestling Hall of Fame announced on Friday that Lindsey Hammer (right) has been named museum coordinator. Hammer replaces Maghan Cawlfield (left), who will remain with the organization as bookkeeper.
Hammer has served as front office coordinator since 2016 and has worked for the Hall of Fame since 2013, beginning as a volunteer and then as a student assistant. Cawlfield, who has worked for the Hall of Fame since 2011, will be working part-time while completing work on her accounting degree.
“We are excited about the opportunity to advance the careers of two qualified employees by transitioning Maghan Cawlfield to part-time and Lindsey Hammer to full-time positions within the organization,” said Lee Roy Smith, Executive Director, National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Hammer will oversee the front desk staff and the donor database while also assisting with Honors Weekend, Board of Governors meetings, Hall of Fame elections and serving as administrative assistant to Smith. Cawlfield will be responsible for the Hall of Fame’s accounting and finances.
A member of the Cherokee tribe, Hammer received her master’s degree in public health from Oklahoma State in May and her bachelor’s degree in health, education and promotion in 2015. She was a recipient of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Scholarship, and was a nominee for OSU Student Employee of the Year in 2016.
Cawlfield received her bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Administration from Oklahoma State in 2007.
