9 Girls From the Sunshine State Among the National Elites
Top 20 National Rankings (June 27 update)
National Wrestling Hall of Fame, USA Wrestling and FloWrestling have published the fifth and final National Girls High School rankings for the 2018-19 season. This ranking evaluates all girls enrolled in grades 9-12, and include athletes from all 50 states. There are 14 states which sponsor official or emerging girls state high school championships, while many other states are also developing their girls high school program. The ranking includes what the athlete's ranking was on May 8. This ranking is heavily influenced by the results of major national and regional spring competitions. The most recent major events included in these rankings were the USA Wrestling Women's National Championships in Irving, Texas, in May and the USA Wrestling Women's National Duals in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in June. As the final ranking of the 2018-19 season, it is being published prior to the USMC Junior and Cadet Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota, July 12-19, as well as the UWW Cadet World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, July 29 - August 4 and the UWW Junior World Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, August 12-18. |
