Dale Gardner

Dale Gardner has seen wrestling from every perspective: wrestler, coach, official and maybe his most important role, Dad. One of his former wrestlers said it best, "Throughout the time I've known Dale he has done so much for the sport of wrestling, whether it be a coach, an athletic director, an official or a parent. He is always looking to improve the sport and especially in Idaho." Dale was honored as Coach of the Year in 1991 and 2005 and International Official of the Year in 2010. Dale attended and competed for Utah State University. As the head wrestling coach for Bonneville High School from 1985-2005, Dale's record was 200-90. Dale was the founder of the Bonneville Freestyle Club in 1983. He coached in 22 State Wrestling Tournaments from 1983-2005 where he coached I l State Champions (son, Justin, was a State Champion his Jr. & Sr. years), 15 Runner-up, 8 Third, 15 Fourth, 15 Fifth & I l Sixth place. His career in wrestling has also included: President Sixth District Coaches Association; Wrestling Official - Idaho High School Athletic Association; Head Elected Official - Eastern Idaho Wrestling Association; Freestyle/Greco Roman Official; Western Regionals Freestyle & Cadet Tournaments; Head Elected Official - USA Wrestling State of Idaho; Junior & Cadet Nationals, Fargo, ND; Idaho State Wrestling Tournament; AAU Disney Duals Wrestling Tournament, Orlando, FL.
