Judge Stephen Trott

Judge Stephen Trott has been actively involved in wrestling for close to six decades, his own career carrying him through to Wesleyan University in Connecticut where he also completed his bachelor's degree in 1962 then to Harvard Law School to complete his law degree in 1965. Judge Trott also holds Honorary Doctor of Law degrees from University of Idaho as well as Santa Clara University. In 1987 he was nominated to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals by President Ronald Reagan, he has been Associate Attorney General of the United States, Assistant Attorney General of the Department's Criminal Division, as well as prosecutor Chief deputy of the District Attorney of Los Angeles County. In 1988 Judge Trott became the publicity photographer for the Boise State University wrestling team at all local matches, Pac-12 tournaments and the NCAA tournament. His involvement into Idaho wrestling extends into a much needed support for our now annual Idaho Chapter NWHOF Classic which brings in the top wrestlers from around the state of Idaho in a dual meet format. His financial assistance allows us to help bring in their families and create an atmosphere that extends beyond the match itself. Our sport is in a better place today because of the selfless involvement by individuals such as Judge Trott.
