Mark Hewitt

Mark Hewitt has been an FHSAA registered official since 1979 as a member of the GMAC and Mid-Florida Official's Associations. In addition to his officiating career, Mark was also a coach at Miami Senior and Sunset Senior High Schools from 1977-88, amassing a 123-12 record with fellow Hall of Famer Chuck Almeida while at Sunset. He has served as President and VP of Training for the Mid-Florida Officials Association, and has officiated numerous FHSAA State, Region and District tournaments over his 34+ year career, last working the FHSAA State Championships in 2011. A graduate of Florida International University, Mark Competed for FIU as well as Cantonsville Community College from 1971-75. He is currently an English Teacher at Oviedo High School, and is married to wife, Louisa. He has one daughter, Sahily and one son, Seve, who was a State Champion at Oveido.
